Fallish Things

Goodbye, Summer, I love you. And I will miss you! But it's time to welcome fall. Bright red, orange and yellow trees. Crisp blue sky. Apples. Chili. Spicy candles. Boots. Scarves. Vests. Sweaters. Coffee. Apple Cider. Campfires.  All the feels. Thankfully, we have been gradually sliding into fall. Cooler mornings, warmer afternoons. Perfect transition into fall!

Apple picking a few years ago shortly after we started dating. What babies we were!
Here are some things I want to do this fall:

1. Go apple picking.

2. Make apple crisp.

3. Roast s'mores over a campfire.

4. Visit Brown County, IN.

5. Go hiking with friends.

6. Deep clean the apartment and cars.

7. Make fall decorations with leaves and pumkins.

8. Eat caramel apples.

9. Eat breakfast on the couch cuddled under a blanket with the balcony door wide open.

10. Start Christmas gift shopping.

What are some thing you want to do this fall?

Loooong Weekend

The past week was rather long, so the long Labor Day weekend definitely made up for it! This weekend was the first full weekend we've been home since July, and it was so nice to just be at home for the most of it.
Our weekend basically started Thursday night when I crossed another item off my bucket list and we attended a Colts game at the Lucas Oil Stadium. I won tickets from a raffle at work (first time I've ever won anything!!) for the preseason Bengals vs. Colts game.  And since I already had my downtown parking pass for work, Loren and I had ourselves a totally free date night! Even though the Colts lost, it was a fun experience.

Friday night we recovered from the crazy work/school week with a fancy dinner date night at home. Saturday morning we had a relaxed breakfast before Loren finished up some work while I cleaned the apartment and Skyped my mom & sisters in Germany. In the evening, we met up with Caleb & Chelsea for a fun dinner and short walk around the town of Greensburg to see the famous tree growing from the courthouse tower.

Sunday we had a wonderfully refreshing morning at church and spent the afternoon napping, reading, homeworking and then met up with Ally for some delicious late night appetizers at Applebee's.

Loren and I both had off for Labor Day. We slept in a little, enjoyed another lazy breakfast before he finished up some homework and we went to Dawn and Keith's for the summer's last cookout. It was another fun family-filled evening and the perfect way to end summer. (Unfortunately, no pics to prove any of this.)

How was your Labor Day weekend?
